Radiological Associates of Sacramento (RAS) provides radiation therapy services. Our seven Northern California Radiation Oncology Centers (ROC) are recognized leaders in the field of radiation treatment providing services to Greater Sacramento for more than 90 years. Radiation oncology treatment, known as radiation therapy, radiotherapy or therapeutic radiology, is the use of precisely delivered radiation to treat malignant (cancerous) and benign (non-cancerous) disease.

RAS' Radiation Oncology division is recognized nationally and internationally for its high quality care and clinical research. All board-certified radiation oncologists in our medical group are active participants in National Cancer Institute (NCI) sponsored clinical trials, making it possible for patients to be involved in truly state-of-the-art technological advances in the treatment of cancer.

RAS, a physician-owned medical group, specializes in the treatment of cancer with radiation. The practice was founded by Dr. Harold Zimmerman who brought the first x-ray machine to Sacramento in 1917. During the pioneering era that followed, RAS physicians entered into the field of radiation therapy and have been at the forefront of cancer treatment ever since. Serving the community for more than 90 years, RAS Radiation Oncology Centers have a rich history and a bright future. RAS' integrated cancer care now includes diagnostic screening and detection, nuclear medicine and PET imaging, interventional radiology, surgery and medical oncology.
