Biography

Dr. Brian Goldsmith, a radiation oncologist with Radiological Associates of Sacramento, treats patients with all cancer types at his Cameron Park office. Dr. Goldsmith earned his medical degree from Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences, F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine, in Bethesda, Maryland. He did his internship at Letterman Army Medical Center, Presidio of San Francisco, California and his radiation oncology residency at University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Goldsmith’s area of particular interest and expertise is in central nervous system malignancies, and his meningioma research and publications have contributed significantly to modern standards of practice. Among his accomplishments Dr. Goldsmith is director of Cogent Medicine, an international radiation oncology expert journal club to which more than half the world’s radiation oncologists subscribe. Dr. Goldsmith joined RAS in 2000, and served as radiation oncology chairman through 2007. Dr. Goldsmith enjoys culinary arts, deep-sea fishing, scuba diving, and flying. When not at work, he devotes his time to his wife and son and delights in the great outdoors.
