Biography
Roger Gilbert, M.D., is a radiation oncologist with Radiological Associates of Sacramento. He received his medical degree from the University of Rochester, School of Medicine in New York, completing his internship at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center in Tucson. He continued on to complete his residency at the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center (UCSF) where he was Chief Resident, and recipient of an American Cancer Society Fellowship.
Dr. Gilbert holds the title of Medical Director for the organization’s Carmichael-based Radiation Oncology Center (ROC) located on the campus of Mercy San Juan Medical Center. He serves as the chairman of Mercy San Juan’s Tumor Board and has held key roles on RAS’ Board of Directors.
Dr. Gilbert is involved in several charitable organizations and enjoys cycling, photography and game shows. Among his personal accomplishments: cycling in Australia, Vietnam, Alaska, Hawaii and Italy. Additionally, Dr. Gilbert has successfully competed in five game shows, with his first appearance in 1974 on “Jackpot!”
