Biography
Radiation Oncologist, Seth A. Rosenthal, M.D., F.A.C.R. has been with Radiological Associates of Sacramento since 1993. As a past Chairman of the Radiation Oncology division and a longtime member of the RAS Executive Committee, he has been instrumental in making the practice nationally recognized as a leader in radiation oncology. Dr. Rosenthal treats all types of cancer but has a special focus in prostate cancer.
His dedication has earned him the title of Fellow of the American College of Radiology (F.A.C.R). He has been active in clinical research in oncology, especially in prostate cancer. Dr. Rosenthal is the author of many scientific papers, and has leadership positions on a national level in Radiation Oncology professional organizations.
After earning his medical degree at Yale, Dr. Rosenthal completed his residency in Radiation Oncology at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He sees patients at RAS’ Roseville Radiation Oncology Center (ROC), where he is also Co-director of the Sutter Roseville Prostate Seed Implant Program. The Roseville ROC recently installed a new Elekta™ Infinity Linear Accelerator equipped with Cone Beam CT and Calypso™ localization, making more precise delivery of radiation possible. This upgrade exemplifies the RAS philosophy of offering the most technically advanced radiation therapy services in the region.
Dr. Rosenthal and his wife have two children. They have been involved in the community since arriving here from the east coast and take pride in the strong relationships they have built.
